Abacus 1 Activity Panel
Our Activity Panels are a very popular component for any playground because they encourage both
creative play and offer mental stimulation.
In addition, the durable materials come in a huge range of designs, colours and sizes.
Each design is made from a very tough plastic called High-Density
Polyethylene (HDPE) which
is UV
stable, non-toxic, recyclable, tactile, has a high impact
strength, is resitant to chemicals/graffiti,
will not delaminate and is
maintenance free.
Activity Panels can get rough treatment so they are normally mounted onto a solid surface (e.g. wall),
play equipment (e.g. a climbing tower) or standalone (e.g. wood frame).
Because
our activity panels can be mounted onto a wide vaiety of surfaces, we
do not include fixings,
however, Coach Screws and Bolt Caps are
available at the bottom of this page.
Because the coloured counters of the Abacus need to slide along the bars, this design must be
mounted proud of the surface, rather than flush onto it (click here for an example)
