Climbing Net 1

Our wider JOT Polyhempex Climbing Net 1 (JOT-NET1) is 1.5m wide and has hand-made knots with a square mesh size of 25cm x 25cm. Designed for mounting onto a 3-sided frame (top pole + 2 side poles), the top has 5 bonded loops, while both sides have 8 adjustable loops (see image below). As with all polyhempex rope, this item will stretch after initial use, hence the adjustable side loops.

Width - the outside edge to outside edge of your vertical frame should be 1.5m. The side loops use an adjustable clip which can be opened and wrapped around the vertical poles, then clipped back in position. As a result, this net can accomodate a variation in the diameter of the vertical poles (we recommend 100mm) and can be fitted after the vertical poles have been installed.

The 5 loops along the top (picture shows 4) are bonded for safety reasons (i.e. they cannot be unclipped). They are designed for a pole up to 100mm diameter which must be fed through the loops during assembly.

Rope nets can stretch over time so we recommend using the adjustable side clips to take up the slack and also build the first horizontal rope more than 25cms above the ground.
